Commissioners C.R. Bud Motsinger, Jonathan Abbott and Rex Hibler met in the commissioner’s room of the Caldwell County Courthouse with County Clerk Christine Owen. The meeting was opened with The Pledge of Allegiance.
Weekly bills were paid.
Commissioner met with Jeff Campbell, Road and Bridge Supervisor. They discussed some brush letters that he was following up on. They also discussed plans for the building on the road and bridge property, which is ready to begin construction soon.
Commissioners met with Judge Jason Kanoy by phone.
Commissioners met with Danny Kincaid of DanComp by phone.
Commissioners met with Emergency Management Director Mark Merrill regarding the CARES Act Funding.
Commissioners met with Tracy Carman & Linda McElwee from the County Health Department to discuss COVID testing costs and the possibility of submitting it to be reimbursed by the CARES Act funding.
Commissioners met with Bob Hughes, Stephanie Williams & Shelby Berkemeier from the NCMBF
Commissioners had a phone conference with Circuit Court Marshal Robert Mazur and Judge Jason Kanoy.
Commissioners met with Terry Rumery about economic development for the county.

Commissioners met with Road and Bridge Supervisor Jeff Campbell. They are cleaning culverts & bridges from last weeks rain. They will check status of brush removal on Henry O Road.
Commissioners met with Danny Kincaid of DanComp Computers to discuss the IT agreement for the county.
Commissioner Rex Hibler moved to approve the signing of Court Order to transfer $22,000 to the Assessment Fund per the 2020 budget. Jonathan Abbott seconded the motion. A roll call vote was called as follows: Bud Motsinger voted yea; Rex Hibler voted yea; Jonathan Abbott voted yea.
Commissioners met with Tracy Carman & Linda McElwee from the County Health Department to discuss COVID testing costs and would like to submit it for reimbursement from the CARES Act funding that the County received.

Commissioners met with Christine Owen regarding the county audit. This audit will be for the years of 2018 & 2019. The state does the audit this year and have selected McBride, Lock & Associates, LLC to do the audit for them.

Commissioners met with Road and Bridge Supervisor Jeff Campbell and he reported that they started replacing Barwick Road bridge. They are also working on the wingwalls on the Longhorn Road bridge
Commissioners met with Collector/Treasurer June Grooms regarding the CARES Act funding and the possibility of having an on-line payment portal for paying taxes.
Commissioners met with courthouse security guard, Bob Witmer to discuss courthouse security.
Commissioners called Tom Butler of MES for information on a Seek Scan Thermometer in order to comply with the 43rd circuit court directive. This would be used to take temperatures of people entering the courthouse.

Commissioners called Leanne Jorns, CCDC Administrator for an update on the construction progress of the raised outdoor recreation area.
