Commissioners met with Jeff Campbell for updates on road and bridge.

Commissioners Rex Hibler, Bud Motsinger and Jonathan Abbott met with Davis Township to discuss Tait Park Road in Braymer.
Commissioner Bud attended the HWY 13 meeting in Richmond.
Commissioners discussed the possibility of sharing sick leave between employees.

Commissioners C.R. Bud Motsinger, Jonathan Abbott and Rex Hibler met in the commissioner’s room of the Caldwell County Courthouse with County Clerk Christine Owen. The meeting was opened with the Pledge of Allegiance. The courthouse was closed on Monday in observance of Columbus Day.
Commissioners met with Road and Bridge Supervisor Jeff Campbell. The west driveway at the CCDC had been widening due to the addition of the outdoor recreation area.
Beverly Alden and June Grooms discussed a tax letter received from the Hamilton United Methodist Church.
Commissioners spoke with Secretary of State Jay Ashcroft regarding the Little Otter Creek Lake. Also in attendance for the meeting were District 8 Representative Jim Neely and District 2 Representative J Eggelston.
Commissioners called Cary Sayre of Allstate to discuss LOC.
Commissioners called Attorney Travis Elliot to discuss pros and cons of a sick leave donation policy.
Commissioners met with Terry Rumery about Economic Development.

Commissioner C.R. Bud Motsinger attended the Hamilton Chamber meeting and a meeting in St. Joseph to plan for the Great Northwest Days at the capitol which will be held on February 4th and 5th, 2020.

Mark Merrill and Marty Gray met with commissioners to discuss using EOC laptop for security cameras.

Commissioners met Sheriff Jerry Galloway regarding a case bill.
Jonathan moved to approve a certified court order at the request of the Treasurer, June Grooms to abate $5,574.44 of which County portion is $97.17 from the tax books due to post 3rd and 4th offerings over the counter tax sales of properties. Rex seconded the motions. A roll call was taken. Bud voted yes, Jonathan voted yes, Rex voted yes.
Commissioners called Ed Proctor to discuss putting LOC money in an escrow account.
Commissioners called Leanne Jorns and David Bethel to discuss status of ordering generator, grinder pump and manhole required for CCDC outdoor recreation addition.

Commissioners Minutes for October 28, 2019
Commissioners C.R. Bud Motsinger and Rex Hibler met in the commissioner’s room of the Caldwell County Courthouse with County Clerk Christine Owen. The meeting was opened with the Pledge of Allegiance. Commissioner Jonathan Abbott was absent.
Road and bridge supervisor Jeff Campbell gave an update on projects they are working on. Hopkins Road has a box culvert that will be replaced this week. The aluminum box culvert for Mill Creek Drive will be delivered Nov 8.
Rex Hibler moved to reimburse $.43 per mile for mileage on personal vehicles used for county business. This is the same amount that the State reimburses. Bud Motsinger seconded the motion. Roll call vote, Bud- yes Rex – yes Jonathan was absent. County vehicles are available for use and should be used when possible.
